Bonjour Paris

As part of a business delegation trip with Governing Mayor Franziska Giffey, the managing director of Berlin Partner, Dr Stefan Franzke, is visiting Paris. The three-day trip will fall on the 35th anniversary of the twinning partnership between the German and French capital cities. The economic relations of both metropolises will be discussed, along with what can be learned from successful projects.

The visit to Station F, the largest tech campus in the world with over 1,000 start-ups, venture capitals, tech corporations and management on the 35,000 m2 site promises plenty of inspiration and exciting insights for the Berlin delegation. 30 different start-up schemes and accelerators are represented here.

Another primary focus will be on sustainable building as well as converting the public transport network to hydrogen propulsion. Paris is considered a forerunner here. By 2025, around 5,000 busses in the French capital will be powered using environmentally friendly methods.

Dr Stefan Franzke, CEO, Berlin Partner for Economy and Technology: “We know Paris, its founders and the business location well, as a member of our start-up alliance, as a business partner with whom we can learn a lot from each other, and as a strong competitor with the smartest minds and best ideas. I’m looking forward to lots of exciting encounters with old and new faces.
