As part of its business strategy, Berlin Partner drives sustainable development goals both internally and externally. Together with an annually increasing number of innovative and ambitious companies, we work every day in our industry and cluster activities to advance Berlin as a sustainable, inclusive and livable city. Growth in industries such as digital health, additive manufacturing, sustainable mobility, energy storage technology and the circular economy exemplifies Berlin's willingness to make its mark on the global megatrends of digitization and sustainability. To this end, we also intend to continuously and sensibly redesign our own structures.
In 2020, Berlin Partner developed a sustainability strategy together with its employees and other stakeholders and reports continuously in accordance with the German Sustainability Code. The process for achieving our key objectives is therefore transparently accessible and comparable for the public. In order to pool our resources and achieve our goals as effectively as possible, we are initially focusing on achieving our own climate neutrality by the end of 2022 (under offsetting and for Scopes 1-2 as well as pro rata Scope 3) alongside the roll-out of our own sustainability service from 2022, which we will use to support our target companies with their sustainability issues. However, in order to also take responsibility for our emissions now, we have offset our largest sources of emissions in 2021 through a project run by Stiftung Naturschutz Berlin.
