Cooperation meets innovation: Berlin-Brandenburg at the CES

Berlin, 12 January 2024From 9 to 12 January, Las Vegas will once again be all about the latest innovation and technology trends. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is one of the world’s most important trade fairs for consumer electronics. At the internationally attended trade fair, the entire range of electronics used by consumers will be presented and impressive new products will be introduced. It is therefore not surprising that Berlin and Brandenburg, as a strong business location, is once again represented with a joint stand this year.

The Berlin-Brandenburg joint stand has represented the capital region at the CES since 2016 and has been growing steadily since then – with the exception of the Corona period. Back again: Interested companies, scientific institutions and networks from Berlin and Brandenburg who, together with many other experts, make the region an important hub for the German information and communications industry, an epicentre for digitalisation start-ups and a hotspot for large e-business companies. This year, 13 co-exhibitors from the fields of AI/robotics, mobility and IoT took part, setting a new record.

With a total of over 2,500 international exhibitors, CES is the place where industry giants forge partnerships and innovators play the leading role. The trade fair is also increasingly recognised as one of the most important global platforms for automotive technologies. So if you want to gain insights into the future of mobility in the field of e-mobility, software solutions, the latest developments in charging infrastructure and, of course, automated and connected driving, the exhibition centre in Las Vegas is the place to be. The Regional Transformation Network for the Berlin Brandenburg Region (ReTraNetz-BB) was also represented at the CES. Maren Petry, Network manager of the ReTraNetz Berlin Brandenburg, discussed the experiences and findings of the transformation in the automotive sector with companies and experts.

The work of the other companies and organisations that took part in this year’s joint stand, which was managed by Berlin Partner and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, was also characterised by change, but above all by the current zeitgeist. These included ad modum GmbH, Amphiprion GmbH, Automotive Artificial Intelligence (AAI) GmbH, DAI-Labor / TU Berlin, Deep Safety GmbH, Hubject, pi4_robotics GmbH, Peregrine.ai, Sixfab GmbH, The Drivery GmbH, Wgroup GmbH, wheel.me and Würth Elektronik eiSos GmbH & Co.KG.
