1. Describe your company.

The Berlin Ladies Open is an international women's tennis tournament with a world-class line-up at the LTTC Rot-Weiß e.V. Berlin. The tournament is played on grass and serves as direct preparation for Wimbledon. In addition to world-class tennis, the tournament offers a colorful supporting program including side events, visitor activities as well as art and music acts.

2. Why are you involved as a Berlin-Partner?

As a Berlin sporting highlight, it is very important to us to make the tournament better known in Berlin and the surrounding area and to establish it as an important part of the Berlin Summer of Sport. In addition, we are always looking for new partners and sponsors who would like to support our world-class tournament and present themselves to around 30,000 visitors on site as well as with the international broadcast to over 120 countries on the tournament grounds.

3. What issues drive you in relation to your industry?

Equal rights, female leadership, equal pay, sustainability at sporting events, cultural experiences, brand visibility, brand activation, networking.

4. What makes Berlin special for you?

Diverse, colorful, cosmopolitan, enthusiastic about sports.

5. Why is Berlin attractive for your company?

Berlin is the perfect location for our tournament because the city is an absolute pioneer when it comes to cultural highlights and international encounters. The business scene is booming and the demand for sporting events is always there.

6. How does your company implement the topic of sustainability?

Our sustainability goals are based on the United Nations' Agenda 2030. All sustainability activities are bundled under a holistic strategy, taking into account the ecological, economic and social dimensions - The Green Centre Court. Particular attention is paid to the following sustainability goals:

  • Ecology: Climate protection measures à e.g. creation of the tournament's climate footprint
  • Economy: Partnerships to achieve the goals à e.g. long-term partnerships with Wimbledon and the International Tennis Organization, among others
  • Social: Gender equality à e.g. holding the International Women Leadership Conference, activities for children and young people such as the planned Kids Fan Fest
