Official launch of the House of Finance and Tech

Berlin, 23 April 2024 - This brand new centre for financial innovation brings together support services and initiatives to leverage the synergies between the state of Berlin and the private sector. The aim is to accelerate innovation and growth in the financial and technology sector and to strengthen Berlin’s position as a leading location for financial technology in Europe. And that from within the FinTech community.

What is the HoFT.Berlin? The HoFT. Berlin acts as a central point of contact for stakeholders in the FinTech scene. This is where traditional financial institutions, start-ups, scientific institutions and educational establishments come together. Financed by public funds and the commitment of the private sector, the HoFT. Berlin offers a physical meeting place and a space for networking.

Why is the FinTech sector so important for Berlin? Berlin is a hotspot for FinTech start-ups. Around one third of all German FinTech companies are based here – that is over 160 companies from various sectors. The city attracts investors and talent from all over the world and has created over 13,000 additional jobs in the last six years, as the latest IBB digital study shows.

What does the HoFT.Berlin offer? The HoFT. Berlin networks public and private stakeholders, promotes national and international cooperation and shares knowledge – including on financial literacy. The offer includes a knowledge database, quality management programs, support for innovation projects, a One-Stop-Shop for access to public authorities and a representative physical network space in Berlin.

The partners of HoFT.Berlin are: IBB, SenWeb, Berlin Finance Initiative and Partner for Berlin.
