Science meets business: Transfer Week 2023

Sharing knowledge and making transfer possible: That is what it is all about, when stakeholders from science and business come together at Transfer Week 2023 from 20 to 24 November. The aim is to exchange ideas and technologies, promote cooperation in order to advance technology transfer and strengthen the innovation landscape of the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region.

Participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and network at the first kick-off conference on 20 November. The event forms the content framework of this year’s Transfer Week. The kick-off conference creates a forum for exchange and dialogue between representatives from politics, science and business and deals with future issues relating to Berlin as a unique location for innovation and business. The stakeholders in the transfer ecosystem share visions, ideas and impulses with each other. Among other things, the focus will be on the question “How can we work together to shape digitalisation, decarbonisation and demographic change in such a way that the capital region will continue to be liveable and have strong growth in the future?”

The kick-off conference will be followed by three varied and dynamic days filled with online sessions, tours and matchmaking. As part of the digital video live sessions, the speakers will pick up on the main topics of the kick-off event and discuss practical knowledge relating to the forward-looking areas of Artificial Intelligence, industry transformation and health. Partner organisations from Berlin and Brandenburg will also introduce themselves, provide insights into their projects and highlight the opportunities for transfer and exchange for science and business in the capital region.

For the first time this year, tours of Berlin’s future and innovation locations will also be organised as part of Transfer Week. The tours to the selected locations offer the opportunity to experience the existing cooperation between science and industry as well as pioneering technologies at first hand.

Transfer Week 2023 is an important instrument for promoting and further developing the innovation landscape in Berlin and Brandenburg. The event is initiated and supported by the States of Berlin and Brandenburg, Berlin Partner, the Brandenburg Economic Development Agency, the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Berlin Chamber of Crafts. As part of Transfer Week, innovators and representatives from companies, universities, colleges, research organisations and other institutions come together to discuss the sustainable promotion of knowledge and technology transfer in Berlin in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, FinTech, industry and healthcare.  Participants can expect a varied and interactive program aimed at harnessing the driving force of cross-industry exchange and advancing the economic, ecological and digital transformation in the capital region with new impetus and visions.
