Startup Agenda Berlin

Berlin's position as a startup capital continues to gain in importance and is a mainstay of Berlin's economy. More than 600 new startups are founded in Berlin every year. These offer solutions for current and upcoming social challenges and make Berlin the future capital of the Republic of Ideas Germany. The goal of further strengthening and expanding the startup ecosystem is therefore also reflected in the 100-day program of the newly elected Berlin Senate. In order to identify possible courses of action to improve the Berlin ecosystem, a benchmark paper was formulated together with various stakeholders of the ecosystem. The paper includes essential goals and action fields to strengthen the Berlin startup ecosystem and to reaffirm its leading role in the startup scene in Germany. The "Startup Agenda 2026" to be further developed from these cornerstones will specify goals and support measures for the coming years.

On Friday, March 11, the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises presented the key points of the Berlin Startup Agenda 2026 at an event at the AI Campus Berlin, which were subsequently signed in a ceremonial act. As Berlin's business development agency, we support the development of the Startup Agenda, and with our managing director Dr. Stefan Franzke signing the benchmark paper we underline our commitment to the further development of Berlin's ecosystem.

More information about the event can be found in the press release of the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises.
