BTA Business Trends Academy GmbH
Maxi-Marlen Fleischmann, CEO, Business Trends Academy GmbH
1. Describe your company in a tweet.
Our customers experience virtual classroom training with cutting-edge content from experienced lecturers with practical experience. Soft skills are always trained and useful digital tools are learned. The modular course system allows for individually tailored course combinations - all of which are eligible for funding.
2. Why are you involved as a Berlin-Partner?
In times of change and multidimensional challenges, we want to help Berlin companies and their employees with funded training programmes to position themselves securely for the future. To do this, we seek both an exchange between companies in order to be close to their needs and to inform them about the opportunities that companies have in terms of (subsidised) continuing education. Berlin in particular, as an international and highly modern business location, can continue to present itself successfully with highly qualified personnel. The BTA would like to play its part in this.
3. What issues drive you in relation to your industry?
Innovations and trends in business, digitalisation and coaching. The focus is always on human-centred learning. Learning has to be fun, sustainable and meaningful.
4. What makes Berlin special for you?
BTA was founded in Berlin back in 2007 and will always keep its headquarters in the German capital despite expansion. Because this is where international trends first become visible in Germany - also in the education sector.
5. Why is Berlin attractive for your company?
Adult education is also increasingly becoming a political issue. Politics is made in Berlin, the BTA was born in Berlin. We are convinced that we can be a valuable partner for politics as well.
6. What does Berlin stand for?
Metropolis, trends, progress, sustainability, digitalisation, lifestyle, cosmopolitanism, craziness, courage, being different.
7. How does your company implement the topic of sustainability?
- REMOTE: Thanks to our flexible home office concept, we simply save on all CO2 emissions related to mobility. We use public transport to get to the office.
- Paperless: We work almost exclusively digitally and thus limit the use of printing machines, ink cartridges and paper almost completely.
- Glass bottles instead of plastic: We don't find disposable plastic cool at all. Therefore, when we work in the office, we only use tap water, which we use in glass bottles.
- Rental equipment: Our equipment is refurbished and reused several times. Due to our favourable city centre location, in Friedrichstraße, pick-up by our participants is usually done by public transport.
- Sustainable education: through lecturers from the field who are constantly undergoing further training
- Continuous training of our lecturers on the topic of sustainability for transfer in the classroom
- Participation in the Climate Camp: networking with other educational institutions on the topic of sustainability
At trade fairs, we also work digitally as far as possible; we do not use glossy flyers, preferring to send offers and flyers directly by e-mail.
www.BTA-Planet.de: for sustainable education beyond training, further learning through learning nuggets, learning islands etc.
